@matthew_d_green I think a way forward is to not use centralized cryptocurrency exchanges at all, instead use the cryptocurrency directly as means of payment or independent traders for exchange (decentralized, as it was in the beginning of Bitcoin).

@freemo @Gargron @trinsec @khird Looks like the Mastodon CEO took the path of least resistance, by doing so he lost integrity. Perhaps it's better to ignore joinmastodon[.]org than to bother being listed on their site? Lacking integrity might mean they sell out in other ways as well, such as allowing government control, increase censorship, etc.

@freemo @Gargron @khird @trinsec I think sticking with the open federation policy is good, making it up to the user who to block is the correct way to approach the problem. BTW: Is the Twitter migration to Mastodon about the need for free speech or censorship?

@marcan I think the "Nazis are welcome trend" increased with the war in Ukraine, as people who support Ukraine have to indirectly support Nazis (or at least deny it's bad).

I finally managed to get modem emulation working on the C64 core in the Mister. I have now enjoyed myself by logging in to C64 BBS'es.

Some people would say it's a waste of time. I on the other hand found it incredibly relaxing, and the first time in a very long time that I have just enjoyed myself in front of a computer without distractions.
