Smooth feathers.

Pipi got some damn smooth feathers. 🥴😍

SO,

It's been noticed that a bunch of collared parakeets entered France, mostly in Paris and other big cities.

And now Paris wants to eradicate a big number of these.

Now pigeons aren't the target anymore but collared parakeets...

Hello there, France introduced collared parakeet itself and now they want to kill them.
🤦🏼‍♀️

@freemo
Yeah this particular model has a few many cases like this reported. Probably the reason being that the touchscreen is too much sensitive and not callibrated well for noisy charges.

Ohh so they are a mother son pairs :ablobcatheartsqueeze: :ablobcatheart:
I hope mamma gives alot of kisses and hisses to it's blood :abloblamp:

@freemo
That's a good point. Actually many phones reset their screens apparent capacitive threshold (the limit where it differentiate between an actual touch and just atmospheric charges and stuffs) when unlocked or locked. This same effect is also achieved by resetting and testing the screen through Android's built in test system.

@freemo
Very interesting list :blobcatsuit:
I ended up following most of them :ablobcatangel:
Also you forgot someone,

Amazing piece made by Fatygi (my friend's roommate). The description is in Polish, it was provided by the author and I don't feel worthy translating it.

My phone has a strange case of touchscreen glich where it doesn't detects my touch until I press my finger very very hard on the screen though this problem is easily solved by just locking and unlocking the phone :ablobdizzy:
After going through this problem for 3 years the most plausible answer seems to be static electric charges getting collected on the screws inside probably.

Use of words for human/animal waste.

I discovered (10 years late, apparently) the XKCD color survey and the (honestly, unsurprising) scatological bent the Internet takes towards some greens and browns. Pretty amusing. Accidentally discovered this grepping for swear words before pushing code (I tend to use such words for debug variables on long nights.) "baby shit brown" gave me a giggle.
There's also "piss yellow" and, strangely,
"poop brown"
"shit brown"
"shit"
"poo brown"
all different colors. 🤔

Survey results where this comes from, in case you also had never heard of this: blog.xkcd.com/2010/05/03/color

@2ck
Yeah it's the year of intrigue and breaking the habits :ablobderpy:

I missed with new years and everything so let me do that now.

This one is a bit special to me as I feel like the last month or two we have had some really great new members join us. While we have always had a wonderful community it usually takes time to acquire new active members who make this place better, most come and go. But it seems the quality of new members this last month has been really nice to see. Here is my

Some new people and some oldies worth checking out. Keep in mind these are real people, they post about everything, not just their professions or hobbies.

@mur2501 - Posts mostly cool infographics, has an interest in nature, cats, and indie.

@lhackworth - Techie, software engineer, recently posts about deep learning

@torresjrjr - Programmer, Linux, Floss

@lbing - Techie

@hansw - Software engineer, I think he dabbles in electronics too but could be misremembering.

@2ck - Software Engineer

@timorl - Programmer & researcher

@lupyuen - IoT dev

@ml2 - Mathematics Ph.D.

@Capitancuk - Biology, Biochem, Genetics

@trinsec - Gamer, Dutch

@General - A group for general chat

@QOTO - A group for anything qoto

@Science - A science chat group.

@hansw
This is a very unwestern thing I am reading about the west :ablobaww:
Gut gut :ablobcatangel:

@freemo
I would like to see a real software project :ablobaww:
Probably that would inspire me to start coding again :ablobblewobble:

First try with inserting smaller objects into the hole and then slowly go with the bigger ones :ablobcatwink:
Also lube is important, until you get adjusted :ablobderpyhappy:

@freemo
Yayyy Freemo on fire :ablobblastoff:
Hope you don't turn into Hulk :ablobsplosion:
Anyway what are you coding so passionately?
