Sunday morning saw a major cloudburst and a glacier breach in the Indian Himalayas causing chaos as river up the stream get flooded with the glacier, which has broken up two hydroelectric dams in it's path and fears of further tragedies down the stream still remain.

In practicality lunisolar calenders are more informative as they don't just show the solar year but also the lunar one as they perfectly set in good with seasonal changes, tides, flooding of river beds.

Well the Islamic calender is lunisolar (means based on sun and moon both) so a year in it is 354 or 355 days while in Gregorian calender (a solar calender) the year is 365 days.
Hence eventually the Islamic calender will go ahead of the Gregorian one
