The simple no-brainer reason why Indian food have spices is simply cause all spices grow here readily and widely

That's right, most of the people who take live goats also have big joint families so it's not excess and for the parts which remain which are inedible or less tasty to eat then probably it goes in garbage or in case of my friend he feeds the legs of chicken to his dogs

To literally say, many farmers here atleast would just label normal vegetables as 'organic', 'natural', etc and sell it ten times the price and stuffs

Also in my town (as it is rural) many people directly buy live chickens and goats then take them home, cut them up whenever you want to eat them

I don't think most of the big supermarkets in cities here sell meat or anything, as their major customers are rich people and here the vegetarian community is typically rich.
