Got photobombed, while trying for the perfect capture of this artistic window, inside the Nahargarh fort in #Jaipur India. #FensterFreitag #WindowFriday #MastIndia @mastodonindians

@freemo
Well I am currently having two big issues with qoto (On the web interface, though I have not tested else where)

1. Not able to play any audio files. I am able to play them on my other instances but not on qoto.

2. I cannot follow hashtags (Are hashtags a new feature in mastodon?)

@trinsec can you confirm the audio issue?

who is more important to you??

Hi folks who #studied a #Computer #Science #Degree, can you please tell me what #programming #language you learnt in the first year?

#programmingLanguage #studyingComputing #java #python #C #procedural #oop #learning #education

@GossiTheDog

I don't see any mention of hashtags in this conversation. I'm fairly new here, and I found that hashtags are the key to finding people with similar interests or from specific communities. Newcomers may not realize that following hashtags makes all the difference. Every day I find interesting people to follow, or follow people who found me. That's in addition to those I followed on Twitter and who now have accounts here.

Basically one can play all the String instruments (including the plucked string ones like Guitar, Mandolin, etc) with a Violin Bow. So why are contemporary Composers not using Guitars in the Moonlight Sonata :blobcatgoogly:

What's the story of you coming to Fediverse? How did everyone ended here?

@mur2501 Well, I woke up one day and suddenly I was here!

I'm kidding off course. A couple of years ago I was searching for and trying out several kinds of Social Media, especialy the kind where my privacy wouldn't be raped like on Failbook. I tried Diaspora and other stuff, but Mastodon and MeWe suited me best. I added Matrix/Element later.

This playlist from Philharmonic Orchestra brilliantly talks about each and every instrument which is part of the orchestra. :ablobcatneon:
A very very good series for people who wanna learn about music and musical instruments :ablobcatrave:

Some 4 years ago I literally searched for a twitter alternative with a higher character count limit. 😋

Ended up on mastodon.social with 500 characters. I liked it.

Then I saw mastodon.host with 2000 characters. I liked it more and moved to there. Then I managed to convince its admin to bump it up to 4000 characters. Woo, like like like!

Then mastodon.host crashed hardcore and was not recoverable and I moved on to Qoto with 65k characters. Woo, likey!

Not that I ever need to type in that many characters, but to make a toot without worrying any bit about character count is very relaxing!

This is an antique Weston voltmeter that I accidentally* bought at auction from a telephone museum that was closing down a few years ago. (I also got some cool historical transatlantic cable segments!)

It draws a surprising amount of current for a voltmeter, so the circuit that's controlling uses far more power than I was anticipating.

*ok, it wasn't _really_ an accident! I certainly wasn't complaining...
