Puppy is surprisingly difficult to photograph. First, he doesn't stop moving (and I'm not DLSR'ing at the moment), second...see the fourth image.

It was 39.2ºC (102.5ºF) today and the parrots were not impressed. I have water bowls on both front and back veranda, and you can see in the portrait shot, she's had a drink (wet feathers), but was still looking very uncomfortable (wings out, feathers puffed to let in more air).

On the way home, on the recommendation from Dr Nick, I stopped off at Sir John Chandler Park to photograph Rainbow Bee-eaters, and I'm very glad I did.
