please boost - trying to find a place for a trans woman to leave her abusive controlling family

I'm posting this on behalf of a 20 year old closeted trans woman who lives with her family. Her family hates her and is incredibly abusive and controlling. She really needs a place to get out to.

She's in Pennsylvania. If you're around there and can take in a person, or think you might know people who can, please pass it on.

I don't expect anything will come of this, but I'm really hoping that we can make a real difference to one person's life. She needs to get out and she deserves to be happy and to actually be able to live.

When I fed the flock the other day.

The pigeon on the window is called redhead. 🥰
We think it's a male but not entirely sure even tho he really acts like the dominant of the flock.

And you can see baby pigeon on the picture with the flock. He's the 7th pigeon, which means the last. And the first pigeon is pipi having fun with his friends. ❤️

(some pigeons are missing, they were up on the buildings)

¿Sabéis qué es? Lo padre lo ha liberado de una malla en la que había quedado atrapado. No estaba herido y ya está por ahí libre ☺️

there is so many beautiful people that close themselves up because of , and I can't get to even know them, that it makes me really f**king angry.

@zleap

Indeed. In reality I have no objection to naming someone an admin just in case. But it would require more than just mastodon admin access, which in and of itself cant really do or effect much. In fact a mastodon admin couldnt even backup and migrate the site to another server, they can just pretty much upload emojis and change a few settings.

What we would need is someone who would have access to our server infrastructure. Right now I do have some people who i pay who have that access in case of emergencies but they arent really part of the community here.

That said if we picked a member of the community to have server access in case something happens to me they would have to know how to administer linux, docker, docker-swarm, and a few other techs we use. They would also need to be trust worthy of course.

I believe @arteteco offered to fill that role once, and he has been around since the inception of the server, so I would trust him in that capacity. I guess it depends on if he would want that responsibility and if he feels he has the technical knowledge to carry it out.

Definitely the advantage of curly hair is that nobody'll easily see that you've cut your own hair!

At least I didn't cut in my ear this time... :P
