@cherold Fair enough, but honestly I see "Caught Up In You" as a 70s tune that got off to a late start. (Didn't eat right or something. I blame its mother.) Very much in the 70s Americana roots--rock tradition and that's who'd connect with it. (Bob Seger ditto)
@cherold (the age range is an idiosyncratic choice of my own, of course. 15 is about the earliest age with which I feel much connection to the popular music of the time, and 35 is about the point when I largely stopped feeling much one. Your mileage may vary. Not all stocks go up: some go down. Ask your doctor if highly subjective pop culture generalizations are right for you.)
@cherold We've both deleted our but I think you're missing a term in your algebraic expression. Let's try it as a story problem:
"Ed really likes a song that came out in 1982. What year was Ed born?"
Aa you see, unresolvable. I associate that particular song with people who'd have been somewhere between 15 and 35 or so in 1982, most of whose birthdates fall well inside the baby-boom period of 1946-64

Not many people realize that Gardener's Monthly was taking SF submissions in those days.

I think it concludes with him realizing that the bright blue manda grass suggests inadequate nutrients in the soil, and him donning his space overalls and digging in a soil amendment.

Here's one from 2006, and he references a printed work from 2002.

I have occasionally wondered if Google's name wasn't inspired by it. They have their own story about the origin of the name, but there's a lot of retronyming going on in the interwebs. Debian and PHP are a couple of examples of institutions that tell a revisionist story about where their name came from.

Forgive my silliness. I'm interested in listening to it.

Yeah I admit the vast smorgasbord of the unrestricted multiverse has made me spoiled and lazy

If I trigger the quantum uncertainty neuron in my forebrain can I innately comprehend it in its entirety by a full universe-comprehension inference?

That is genuinely new to me. It looks intriguing. Where do stream/download/incant by moonlight it from?

My rule of thumb: If PHP and MySQL are involved the authors are either under 12 or over 90 and you're in for a rough ride.

I wish I could find a straightforward #selfhost alternative that didn't require 30 wodges of #Docker #bloatware and more free time than it takes to earn a doctorate from Carnegie-Mellon.
I'm using #TiddlyWiki with #WebDAV, plus the venerable old #Webnote for lightweight things, and I'm probably going to have to settle for that because I agreed to cook dinner at least four nights a week.
@ukrinform Sending everyone off to die will do that.
@anna_lillith Much as I love the Mediterranean and Atlantic coasts of Europe, the fact that every other restaurant is serving a sapient being is very hard to take. I do a lot of cooking at home when I'm in Spain.

I downloaded a set of Nero Wolfe radio dramas from the 1940s and was listening to them on a tablet I keep by the bedside for that purpose. I was pretty delighted at the end of the first one as they read out the credits, to hear that it was written by Alfred Bester. Later I listened to the last bit of each of them; that was the only one, unfortunately.
@glitzersachen @ottocrat Good point! Also, I'm pretty sure children's school places are awarded by how much they resemble porcelain figurines.
