I still haven't managed to come close to as many solid, human-curated Ukraine news follows as on Twitter. And no, I really don't care to follow Twitter mirror-bots.
Any suggestions appreciated.
@ottocrat Very, very silly. You win tonights star prize: the entire Norwich City Council.
Wild coincidence just now. Decided to look at the live Starlink coverage map. Noticed in passing that it showed the ISS about to pass near Portland. Pulled up the live ISS HDEV feed. Their down-facing camera was on and It came up at the very moment it passed over Portland; could clearly see the confluence of the Willamette and Columbia rivers. (We're having a very rare cloudless moment.)
I used to leave the ISS feed up all the time and I never caught this once. Now did it completely by chance after not looking at it for years.
@bonifartius Who said other space waste wasn't bad?

@morgfair Simply laundering bribes. And not cleverly.
@mattnavarra Can't help wondering: why include your birthday in your Twitter profile but black it out in a screenshot?

@Sundae_Gurl I'm terribly terribly offended. And since like many people being offended is my one great joy in life, thank you.
@pbump This is why voting is wrong and godly Republicans are putting a stop to it.
@fulelo Seemingly related to the news that Amazon just closed a year-old flagship Whole Foods store in SF for "worker safety" reasons.
Meaning that workers were vulnerable to unionizing, of course.
If the first thing you do when I visit your site is overlay a popup onto it asking for my email address, the first thing I do in turn is hit the back button or close the tab. I doubt very much I'm the only one. #UX #Marketing

@jamie Rented suit and Burton suit are both deadly insults, but "rented Burton suit"? Ow.
Unpopular opinion (?)
@vanderwal @JamesGleick I think (hope) that building internal full-text search capability within fediverse code isn't being seriously contemplated. It's a complex and rarefied specialty requiring resources well out of application scope, and the infrastructure costs are... well, as you yourself say. Adding API integration with an external engine is a more appropriate solution from a separation of concerns perspective. And for just plain practical reason that it really wouldn't get done at all otherwise, let alone well.
Please say it's a clerihew.
Of course, only a genius could think of a rhyme for Grayling that is in any way characteristic of the man.
