We'll realize that until now, we've made them too car-centric. Street corners are designed for fast driving, which means pedestrians have to risk their safety just to cross the street.

But if we’ll rethink our street corners we’ll get

■ Safer Streets

I don't think this is getting the coverage it needs. Scottish government to require passivhaus standard for all new build homes. This is big. Really big. Growing out of lessons from the 70's oil crisis. Passivhaus buildings use very little energy to heat, or to cool. We've known how to do this for decades. It's gross negligence from all western governments that the same is not true of all new builds in the developed world.

Ambulances haven't been able to respond in a timely fashion for ages, particularly for non-time critical issues. Politicians and senior NHS staff complain about it today as though it apparently didn't matter yesterday or the day before of every other day in the recent past.

The #AmbulanceStrikes are the only tool ambulance staff have to make this point.

The NHS has problems, it's really not perfect or to be put on a pedestal. Having said that, I will defend to the hilt the right to free access to healthcare. This government's determination to destroy the NHS is blatant and will make everyone poorer.

Mastodon has a very big surge of new users right now. There's no way to tell if it will be sustained, but at this early point it looks similar to Nov 18 when when Musk pulled the employee purge.

It is very challenging for system administration to accommodate so many new users. If your server starts to struggle, it is not broken and will get sorted out.

Paper 3 looks at the tissue specific signature of human herpesvirus infection in those with ME/#CFS, specifically focusing on HHV-6 & EBV (Epstein Barr virus), where reactivation has been linked to a number of diseases, including Alzheimer’s disease & #MECFS.
