@rastinza we in fact perform highly accurate ab-initio calculations. In many small system, such ML-driven ab-initio methods report the lowest variational results in the literature. What we mean with "not sacrificing performance" is that compared to neural wave function-based baselines we don't lose any accuracy despite solving many Schrödinger equations simultaneously.
The plot below shows our Potential Energy Surface Network (PESNet) in comparison to other neural wave function-based methods.

I don't see you anywhere explaining why such list should be a massive mistake or a burden to mastodon. In your pinned post you just state that Mastodon cannot work with instances and that everyone should have his own personal instance.
I do not believe this idea of yours to be true, though I also have doubts that Mastodon can work on a large scale, but those kinds of problems will not be solved by everyone running their own instance, probably they'll be exacerbated by such behavior.
I don't agree with you, while I'm not going to use such list I believe it can be useful to some people who are new to Mastodon.
Moreover, the fact that you're using it contradicts your statement...
The list may be used to scam people, but also no list may be used to scam people. I see no reason to condemn it for it unless it is in fact used to scam people.

Non è neppure onesto fino in fondo, perché sostiene che così fa risparmiare il cliente finale. Secondo me non è vero, semplicemente si incassa il 22% di IVA alla faccia sua.
@doomboy Probabilmente si limita a non fargli pagare l'IVA. Se è "onesto" dovrebbe fargli uno sconto un po' più grande dell'IVA.

That's something I always have when I get contracted by someone: they will have to pay the full job wether they want it or not after it is signed, if I don't deliver it on time I will have to pay them a penalty for the delay.

@rastinza @yarmo good idea with the hashtags. Oh, I am not saying it is only for marginalized humans, but they were the ones who used it and filled it with life before the big migration started. And I am not saying it’s in the DNA of mastodon but a rather huge part of it. Since history is important to understand most things, I am just thinking that it should have a place in your story.
@youwouldknow Switch off your phone from time to time and get writing.
Luckily I have an office for that which makes it easy, I just put my phone in a drawer when I get in and start focusing on the work.

@yarmo @rastinza I understand that it might me a bit technical for new users. I just learned that hashtags are vital to find the groups and people which share your interests if you are not on a server that already is your interest. Again just ideas. Also, and I think that is a vital point though, is the heritage/history. Because mastodon was and still is a hub for marginalized humans who found a safe space here and populated the fediverse way before it was on the map for most. What do you think?
@apinae @yarmo I guess I might introduce hashtags as courses/themed clubs at which you attend, or even conferences since it's difficult to really create communities over hashtags which are widely used.
In mastodon you get a lot of marginalized groups that joined it because it offers the opportunity of staying in a more protected and closed space without harassments.
I don't think it is mainly for marginalized people, I for one am not one of them: I joined mastodon just because after a long while I wanted to try staying on a social network, it's my first real experience on a social network after Facebook many years ago...
