@fatsam Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

My understanding is that lots of rural cell systems depend on Chinese equipment. This will work to keep telecom in rural USA worse than in many developing countries. I think this hurts USA population on the whole.
Not certain that this protectionism will even help US companies compete in a sector they have largely abandoned.
I like this visualization showing how #Mastodon is one branch of the #Fediverse tree. Lots of decentralized tools to try out.

This is my #indroduction post. I hope I am doing this right.
I am Vinoth, from San Diego. I lead the silicon security architecture and silicon security operations teams at #Google. Before this, I worked on mobile silicon security at #Qualcomm. I will mostly talk about #mobilesecurity, #androidsecurity and #infosec.
Much of my work is about improving the security of #Pixel and other #Android devices. My expertise is at the intersection of hardware security architecture, software security architecture and silicon security operations (secure key provisioning, code signing, device attestation etc.). I have ~20 years of experience making mistakes at this particular intersection that make me feel eminently qualified to talk about how to not make them.
I love explaining the intricacies of silicon development to software engineers and vice versa. So if you want to understand the hardware underpinnings of Trusted compute, confidential compute or whatever, I'm your guy.
I sometimes hold unpopular opinions, and I welcome healthy discussions about them. For example, (a) open sourcing RTL will not improve hardware security to the same extent open source software improved software security (b) there are situations where compliance actively harms security.
Also a medidator, volunteer at #ishafoundation, father of 2 kids, husband of 1 wife, angel investor and a very curious human being.

Wait a few weeks, it will just be him and the CSAM people.
Nothing says "free speech" like enforced ideological purity tests. It looks like Elon is going to have to have a ton of polls in the next few days.
Musk should have bought Truth Social to begin with. It would have been cheaper and he would have started out at his final destination.
Looks to me like they are only looking at making the client connection to an .onion. Which would be useful for having local comms private. Would require users understanding scoping differences for the fediverse. But would still be attractive. Have wanted an oinion Mastodon for a whille, but don't have the man-power right now.
We need a carbon neutral way of removing this large mass of fecal matter from our environment.

Using Tusky. Never heard of Husky.
qoto drama, homophobic slurs
Was not meaning to excuse, rather to clarify. 4chan works at being repulsive. The Anonymous off-shoot had some OK aspects. I met some Anonymous self-identified "name fags," that I got along with.
qoto drama, homophobic slurs
I suspect he is using it in the vernacular of Anonymous/4chan where it is hard to say if it is a slur, definitely has nothing to do with homosexuality, and is just kind of an interjection. It seems to be used mainly to illicit outrage by non-4chan types.
