One of the best people I’ve had the privilege of knowing passed away today: O. Lawton Wilkerson, who was my grandfather’s best friend for many decades and a Tuskegee Airman.
In the picture below, the gentleman on the left is O. Lawton Wilkerson. I’m in the middle. My grandfather is on the right. For most of my childhood, my grandfather and Lawton jointly owned and flew a Cessna 172. We took this picture shortly before I had the honor of taking them for a flight in my plane.
How close is this to being criminal activity? (Opinions welcome.)
