@piper that sucks big time. hope you find something good! checked out your site just now and love the stuff with your story about going from freelance to full-time employment — i did the same, but am now back to freelance and it’s so much better than it was last time! esp in terms of balancing time with kids/house stuff.

@ashfurrow hah! well, as someone who hates cleaning a car, i say more power to them! they can call it super-hero-shazaaming if it makes them feel better about getting crumbs out of all those crevices for us. i didn’t realize people do it for a hobby though

doodling in the sand with my son tuesday evening. just got back last night and miss the shore already!

right around here i stubbed my toe on a buried boulder yesterday, and it’s now purple and swollen (my toe, not the rock)

went out again w eb (after watching hot fuzz) and the sky was even clearer! saw lots of meteors, but also some weird small lights that i thought must be satellites or very high aircraft at first, but they were bobbing/curving through the sky very strangely, and would slowly go in and out of glowing sometimes. a strange variation of meteor? didn’t see them when we were out earlier

down at long point, watched the meteor shower with my kids for a bit just now. some big ones!

bothers me that spots like this — walkable, multi-level, human scale, tied in with nature — are so rare around here that they're basically exclusively used for weddings.

went to a wedding at this spot on the weekend. i loved it.
