@sim @Arkana @7 @cully45 @clayvaulin @FreeFediBookClub @kakkerel @laurel @MK2boogaloo @hrast @tarperfume @GoodPerson @Leyonhjelm I'm quite interested in Infantry Attacks by Rommel, other suggestions were Use and Abuse of History By Nietzsche and the Aquinas by Chesterton

@vriska yewtu.be/watch?v=sj6a0Wrrh1g

still struggle to square my intuition with the way this thing takes off, lunar gravity, the lightness of the craft compared to rockets on earth and the fact that the fuel burns without visible flames make it look really fake

@vriska lizards in person suits, maybe, but we clearly went to the moon the Russias had camras

got into a drunken hype last night about the moon landing, couldn't accept that the lander had enough fuel to achieve escape velocity

had to run some quick calculations this morning and can confirm they would have had plenty of fuel to achieve this

I have updated the recommendation list, keep them coming.
Should we limit Chesterton to one book?
Eventually we can have a poll that allows multiple choices.

1. "Attacks" by Erwin Rommel

2. "Egil's Saga"

3. "The Master and Margarita" by Bulgakov

4. "Use and Abuse of History" (essay) by Nietzsche

5. "Confessions" by St. Augustine

6. "Essais" by Michel de Montaigne

7. Essays by Cicero

8. "The everlasting man" by G. K. Chesterton

9. "Biography of Aquinas" by G. K. Chesterton

I’m interested in his biography of Thomas Aquinas, but I’d be fine with revisiting Everlasting Man too.

Friends, I've gathered these proposals that have had some traction:

1. Attacks by Erwin Rommel

2. Egil's Saga

3. The Master and Margarita by Bulgakov

4. Essay by Nietzsche, "Use and Abuse of History"

5. Essay by St. Augustine

6. Essay of Michel de Montaigne

7. Essay by Cicero

Are there any more suggestions? Would anyone like to add/remove anything from the list?
