@yogthos@mastodon.social True anti-homelss capitalism is what japan does with eg cyber cafes.

@urusan Being trapped on a ship with a small or zero number of other people sounds unpleasant.

I'm pretty a-social but I don't think I could deal with that.

Omfg.. Windows 10 is such a piece of crap! 💩 I need to do 5 Google searched before I know how to turn off those idiotic tiles :amaze:

No wonder older people give up all hope with that shit software.. FFS Microsoft they just had figured out your crappy Windows XP/Vista/Other shit and now you come with this dumb ass action I never understand

I hate Windows so hard

@jmw150 @freemo Unfortunately I can't handle walking and not going anywhere, otherwise I would use the ones in the gym on the roof of the building I live in. My current solution is to just walk up all 23 flights of stairs every afternoon but it's not quite enough.

@freemo I gained a lot of weight last year. My diet didn't really change I just didn't have good reasons to go walking places all the time like I used to. As far as I can tell exercise is much more important.

Limited access to legal counsel and a laptop with glued-down keys to prepare defense. No winter clothes. Up to 23 and half hours per day in isolation. That's how the UK is treating a publisher wanted by the US for revealing evidence of war crimes. #JournalistsSpeakUpForAssange

@icedquinn Yeah that's not fun when it ends but I know people it worked out with.

Dear Mastodon, we're ~60 followers away from 12K! Can you help us get there?

Help by spreading the word that:

🔵 Privacy is a human right.

🔵 Tracking & surveillance are widespread on the internet.

🔵 Tor is a nonprofit that can help you take back your privacy online.

@marathon Maybe epidemiology is different but the phrase "Science vs Amateurs" seems a little ignorant of history.

You can watch the video backed up here on @OdyseeTeam@twitter.com. As you'll see, the video itself (and I in it) make no claims to the legitimacy of the protesters' beliefs.

This doesn't remove disinfo; it only removes a recording of what led to January 6.

@directhex cygwin? in 2021?
Why when you have msys2 and WSL (and just not running windows?)

@mdhughes @profoundlynerdy@mastodon.technology There's a lot to complain about with python but IMO Tkinter isn't one of the cons. How do you draw widgets in scheme and JS in a cross platform way? Chrome is *way* worse.

noob question, economics

@wolf480pl As far as I understand: Economies of Scale, market inefficiency (perfect markets don't exist) regulatory capture (which is really another name for market inefficiency) law breaking (another name for market inefficiency) and maybe trade secretes that let them manufacture more efficiently (stirring something in a certain pattern makes it cure faster etc.)

it’s kind of fucked that a basic element of zillennial manners is rating service workers five stars no matter how many issues there actually were because you don’t want to be the one responsible for ruining their life over a slip-up
