Yesterday this forest track was dry. The few hours of downpour last night helped to bring it back to it's natural condition. Not all are happy about it, but this one definitely is.

The owner of that land cut down some birches last year when price of firewood was very high. The price rapidly fell and now the logs are left to rot – but at least have a new playground.

A tree fell on one of our favourite paths. This means there is no car traffic that would partially curb the growth of nettles. We'll have to buy a machete. Or a chainsaw.

Pietruszka is *very* scared. She easily climbed those stairs outside a neighbours' house, but the only stairs she knows and has ever walked, at our house, have different parameters, such as step rise, tread depth, and so on. This is the moment she realized she's not in Kansas anymore.
