We found a pair of roosting Great Horned Owls near the #Boise River yesterday, including this big, beautiful female. When I was 19 years old, I spent a year as a soldier in the very north of Sweden.
In the process of learning how to be a first class military grunt, you have to become familiar with how to handle all sorts of equipment. Machine guns, shortwave radios, rock drilling machines, big ass tents and foldable shovels. And the shoe shine box. Shining boots is a very serious activity in the army.
But most of all, you have to learn how to handle yourself.
