The petition to remove #LGBT content from the uk curriculum now has 190,671 signatures, sigh. It only needed 100k to force a debate in parliament, so that will be scheduled by #Uk Gov.

The counter petition is rapidly gaining ground, being newer. It now has 33,030 signatures, but we need more!

Pls sign if uk, boost otherwise! 👇

Yesterday Adam came up to me and told me, I sent him a laptop and now he runs is own little company.
I m extremely happy that he got invited too to this event so that I could meet him in person.
Sometimes it's a small effort that can have a lot of impact

In an 1880 lecture, William Morris advised: “Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful”. It’s a philosophy I follow in both my physical and digital environments.

Hey everybody, will you please boost this and help my friend @hauntedhideaway find her #librarian peeps on here? 📚

She lost her beloved #Twitter community of fellow #librarians and would like to build a new group here. Help a gal out!

Thanks in advance!!

"Libraries aren't just a place to obtain books for free. They're one of the few public spaces left in our society where you're allowed to exist without the expectation of spending money."

Something I learnt about only recently (it may have been on here): for many arxiv preprints, if you replace the "x" in the url with a "5", you will get a nice accessible html :html5: version!

Works quite well for reading on your phone in the train for example 👍
