@saltphoenix says goats love this stuff. but i don't have goats & this is what happens when you don't have large herbivores in your garden ecosystem: YOU become the large herbivore having to remove & stomp down the stuff you don't want.

at least they don't have thorns!

Between 80% and 90% of people charged with crimes are so poor that they can't afford a lawyer. Twenty-five years into America’s incarceration boom, black people were incarcerated at a rate 6 times that of South Africa during apartheid. The incarceration rate for black people in the nation’s capital, where I live, is 19 times that of white people.

Very annoyed at organisations who post to Twitter only now. I came across a closed road on my journey home just now. Previously I would have asked wifeface to look at the local police road units twitter. Except now if you look at it, it's in some weird order with posts from several years ago at the top and no sign of anything new. Then if you click something it requires an account. I've lost visibility into important information. If only they posted to their own website as well as bird.

I have that book for my daughter. It’s fantastic. If anything, the book teaches children to be unashamedly themselves.

Telling someone they can't be who they are is wrong. The fact that we are in such shortage of teachers and she was fired for it is ridiculously short sighted.

Being open to acceptance, understanding, empathy, and inclusion benefits everyone.

I see a lot of change in Germany.

After experimenting with cheap public transport last year (a monthly ticket for ALL local transport in Germany was only €9 for 3 months, yes, subsidized) we now have the DE-ticket, which covers ALL local traffic for €49 in subscriptions.

Many people are using it to shift from cars to buses or trains.

My town has started using E-buses and has shifted the local small ferries to E-Boats (and the fare is included in the DE-Ticket).

Signs of collapse and signs of an ecological society emerging coexist right now, in my opinion. The news covers the scary parts, and we need to know, and not look away. But lets not miss the little shoots of a saner more connected ecological-social-economic system either. What's a hint of a life-sustaining society emerging you've seen of late?

Po niderlandzku mieszanka studencka to owies dla studenta.

Taka refleksja: do Berlina i z powrotem obróciłam komunikacją publiczną w 1 dzień - tyle, co ktoś mnie rano podwiózł na dworzec. Rano pojechałam, odwiedziłam muzeum, zwiedziłam miasto i wieczorem byłam w domu. Niedługo jadę na pogrzeb do miasta powiatowego w centralnej Polsce. W środku dnia, w tygodniu - nie jakieś dziwne godziny. Zejdzie mi 2 lub 3 dni i dotrę tylko dlatego, że ktoś mnie 160 km w obie strony samochodem zabierze...
