Really, really dislike the UI changes that Adobe has made to Acrobat this week. Of course they had to re-arrange where ALL of the tools are (lower right corner for the zoom, are you fucking kidding me?!?!?) right when I have big urgent deadline work and I'm struggling to find even the most basic functions that I've been using for like decades.

Brilliant article on Bristol Post about how there’s zero chance of building on this woodland, from the folks who make these decisions, basically calling the idea silly.

Hopefully all the developers have now dropped out, I’ve certainly sent the quotes to a few other bidders who emailed me. If so we can pick the land up cheap, and use the rest of the money for the cleanup and restoration work ahead.

My 12 year old who loves sport wrote a school speech that was a fiery repudiation of the misogyny of the sporty boys in her class, inspired by the fact they wouldn't pass to her in a soccer game. She addresses them directly in the speech to say that their behaviour is unacceptable and out of touch. It is amazing.

Her teacher, however, suggested she tone it down as it wasn't "all the boys" and also they might respond better if she made them like her.

Dear readers, she did not tone it down.

And at the heart of the garden is this chonking great pergola! Again, made by David Carter from The Coppice Plot, it is *so darned sturdy*. He set the main uprights on padstones. This pergola is going to last longer the new build house in the background, and that’s the truth.

The pergola looks down the wooded valley, and it really is a magical place.

Sprawdzajcie regularnie ciśnienie swoim zwierzakom. Zwłaszcza starszym. Nadciśnienie może prowadzić do niespodziewanych i bardzo nieprzyjemnych historii. Ahmed, słodka biało-ruda kuleczka, w ciągu kilku ostatnich dni praktycznie przestał widzieć. Kot chodzący po domu "na pamięć" to widok rozrywający serce. Okazało się, że z powodu nadciśnienia tętniczego doszło do odklejenia obu siatkówek. Szczęśliwie interwencja okulistyczna była w miarę wcześnie i jeśli leki na obniżenie ciśnienia przyniosą rezultat, to jest szansa, że wzrok wróci, ale gwarancji nie ma. Trzymajcie proszę kciuki za chłopaka.
