Exciting news from Decentlab! Introducing our new product, the DL-SDD for LoRaWAN!

It measures soil moisture, temperature, and salinity at 6 depths / 60 cm or, on request, up to 12 depths / 120 cm.
Perfect not only for agriculture but also ideal for environmental monitoring and beyond. 🌱

@gsuberland @404mediaco @dalias It artificially disabled trains for the sake of extracting maintenance money.

So if it is not fraud, it is instead infrastructure sabotage and extortion (with a side of racketeering).

Sabotaging rail infrastructure for *any reason* in Poland is a crime.

I want to see a world where the GUI never took off as the dominant paradigm and instead text interfaces became better and better, focussing on accessibility, good documentation and explorability.

I feel like an entire branch of UI design that had high potential was cut off by leaving the terminal to the tech nerds. We may never know what would have been possible.

Advocates for #ActivityPub - IF YOU HAVE A #WORDPRESS SITE, have you installed the ActivityPub plugin? https://wordpress.org/plugins/activitypub/

At the State of the Word address this week, Matt Mullenweg was asked about support for the plugin, and he commented that less than 5,000 sites had installed it. So he wasn't sure how interested people are in it.

So... if you have a WP site, let's start installing that plugin and making more sites available via ActivityPub! 😀

📰 Ministra Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk: do nazwy ministerstwa przywracamy słowo praca, to ważny sygnał

To give you an idea of the difference between normal ISPs and @aaisp

Other ISPs: "Technical fault. We'll have it fixed whenever."

@aaisp: "Oh, yeah. We discovered a failed $networkDevice at $location. We've planned engineering work to resolve this properly on $futureDate. In the meantime, affected customers have been moved to alternative infrastructure. We're also doing a root-cause analysis to prevent this kind of issue causing outages for customers in the future."

I'm using Dashy (https://dashy.to/) as the homepage of my homelab, and I'm loving it, but there's one thing that has been bugging me. The links for the particular apps have to be hardcoded. But when I access dashy from my LAN, the URLs is the internal IP (192.168.0.XXX), and when I access dashy via Tailscale, the URL is the tailnet IP (random). And I can only set the dashy links to one or another, so in one access mode they won't work. Does anyone have a workaround?
