Hello, weird doggy. How about a shot of vodka?

Witaj, dziwny piesku. Może kieliszek wódki?

More bad news on the blasphemy front. A Polish court found two women guilty of offending religious feelings for showing an image of Mary and Jesus with rainbow haloes during an LGBT march. Blasphemy should not be a crime. reason.com/volokh/2023/04/24/b

Jakie to malutkie! Nowy/stary aparacik do kolekcji, wszystko działa, jedynie soczewki do wyczyszczenia oraz wymiana smarów w obiektywie.

"Introducing Roberto Broce, a bio designer and materials researcher from Panama based in Barcelona. In the following interview, he (...), talks about his fascination with fungi and goes in depth into Myke Board – a project looking to reform the contemporary surfboard and revolutionize the surfing industry by replacing plastic with the naturally grown material of mycelium, the root-like structure of the fungi."

SCIENTIST: climate change is real

MAD SCIENTIST: climate change is real you fucking ignorant piece of shit

It weirds me out homes still don't use height-adjustable sinks or counters.

A 1.8m person won't enjoy the same height for work as a 1.5m person, and setting it too low ensures anyone too tall gets back problems instead.

At least if you're too short you can use a step, but what if you're too tall? You can't exactly cut a hole in the floor to recess to the right height.

Spring in New Hampshire still catches me off guard when it goes from "endless snow” to “more things growing than you can identify" in just a few weeks.

Ferns are unfolding folks.

This Central Air Data Computer (CADC) was introduced in 1955. It computed airspeed, altitude, etc for fighter planes. But instead of a processor, it was an analog computer that used tiny gears for its computations. Let's look at how one of its modules works.🧵

Another successful installation. Our local assistant was very young and eager to learn. No damage to the cables.

And for anyone pointing to the drop in Fox stock as evidence that firing Carlson is a big deal, may I remind you that that stock market is a giant plutocrat mood ring. It doesn't reflect reality, at all, it just tells you how rich people feel about the world at any given moment.

Osoby niebinarne, Panie i Panowie, dziś 24 kwietnia - DZIEŃ ZWIERZĄT LABORATORYJNYCH! Wykorzystam ten post, by zareklamować cudowną inicjatywę.

Zachęcam Was też do całkowitego bojkotu konsumenckiego sklepów zoologicznych, które handlują żywymi zwierzętami.

The moment when the real garment fits without any of the muslin's issues is like that moment when all the tests pass after hours of debugging. It's the moment when I get a much-needed reminder that I am actually pretty good at this.

Muslin vs lining.

Muslin is really handy for mockups because it's cheap and easy to work with - the butcher paper of the sewing world.

But it lies. It doesn't drape well. It wrinkles in weird ways. It bunches. It tries to tell me the draft isn't right even when I've triple checked all my numbers and can feel the fit for myself.

Trusting my math and experience enough to actually cut the fashion fabric is always a leap of faith.
