Ah things I learn on the Fediverse

Lmao I just watched a cop car cut off a tram to do a 3 point turn.

I don't think people are realising the danger the Fediverse is in.

The only thing stopping corporations and VCs taking over this place is that the Fediverse is spread out on many different servers, which makes it very difficult to purchase.

If most of the Fediverse ends up on mastodon.social, which is now a strong possibility, there will be nothing to stop most of it being sold to Musk or Zuckerberg or whoever.

The bigger mastodon.social becomes, the more likely a buyout is to happen.

Yesterday afternoon, I was walking outside on streets.

I just saw this adorable smol baby snapping turtle size of pebble. Sitting on road wanting to go across toward wetland. (Good thing I looked down!)

I picked them up gently and move to the other side of road closer to wetland. c:

7 people dead in Texas. And I'm not talking about the shooting -- this is something new! They were run over by a car this morning.

Perfect timing to shift the conversation away from guns. Fucking monsters.
