Today’s poem is called ‘A Brief History of Modern Art in Poetry’.

The place I work has such a big art collection for a young university because a previous vice chancellor did this on purpose. He said that people should be able to see art that made them think in their offices and corridors. So he set about acquiring works of young and diverse artists.

I once had an office with a painting that I loved. I found the artist online and let him know. He was really amazed — it was one of his first sales, just out of art school. He told me its story.

Here’s the thing: because of @Curator and many, many artists here, my fediverse experience is also full of good fresh art every day, that makes me think. On weekends especially, I really appreciate what I get to browse.

Wiele osób tutaj (w tym ja) nie chce w tym uczestniczyć.
Obietnica dostępu do znajomych z fb tutaj to kłamstwo: zostanie ograniczona, zmonetyzowana, a to niezgodne z ideą protokołu AP.
Meta zawsze tak robi. Zasięgi organiczne 10% na fb (więcej za $) to świetnie pokazują.
Rozumiem obawy i niechęć, do plotek się nie odniosę :)

@neil during my professional career I signed 21 NDAs. 17 had some change incorporated my lawyer insisted on.

At this point I wouldn’t sign one without legal review :/

Is this a bad time to say:

I’m very sorry, but this initiative to connect European capitals by high-speed rail is symbolpolitik of the worst kind. We don’t need capital-centric high-speed lines, we need a well-designed railway network that serves everyone. This includes high-speed express trains but also – especially – frequent, connected regional, urban, and rural service and a focus on ease of use.

One of my dog-walking buddies who I'd see regularly on the beach built this bench 7 years ago and got permission to install it along the trail where he liked to sit and have a smoke while his dog played. Bent wood and found metal he forged himself.

It's effectively giving Meta power over fedi, by giving Meta power over what fedi admins can and cannot share with their communities.
