A study of 40 million people found those infected with COVID-19 before receiving a vaccine were 11x more at risk for developing myocarditis within 28 days of testing positive for the virus. Risk was cut in half if infected after receiving vaccination!

Hello Mastadon! Here's my #introduction: I'm an Assistant Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Utah specializing in molecular and cellular visualization, particularly 3D animation. We're interested in thinking about how to use visualization in scientific research, communication, education, and outreach. Here's a little montage of animations I've worked on over the years. Do you recognize any?

Hi all, time for an #introduction 🤗
I am a bioinorganic (with a lot of bio) chemist by training and have moved to Wiley-VCH to become a professional editor right after my PhD.
Currently, I am the editor-in-chief of the journal ChemBioChem and am also supporting a few other journals within our #chemistry portfolio.
Besides science, I love sports, hiking/nature, and coffee 😊

I'm convinced that the insistence not to be #CovidCareful of many people who really should know better is subconscious resentment of people who haven't already had #COVID as many times as they have. When they say, "Everybody's going to get it eventually so we should live our lives and stop trying to avoid it," what they really mean is, "I've already had it, so YOU should stop trying to avoid it. Why should you get to not have it when I didn't?"
