I'm not really surprised "indict Trump" is polling at 60%; I explained this a long time ago, in numerous different ways - no matter what they tell you TV, fascism isn't popular. It wasn't popular in Germany, it's not popular here. The problem is that they don't, and have never, need 51%; they need about 1/3 of the people, and another third to sit buy and do sweet fuck all, so they can merc the final 3rd and "permanently" install fascism. But these guys are NOT a "popular" movement. Paxton lied.

No see the major problem with pointing out that fascism is funded and installed by rich fascists, not "the people" is that you can't then spin a theory about Hitler being a Magic Man and this all being the dumb ass proles fault; which in turn makes it a LOT harder to explain why it's totally fine that rich fascists run your country and spend like 95% of the money on weapons to merc communists.

I'm sorry. That's just how it be. They're not going to PUBLISH historians who explain that however.

If you are giving scientific advice to the government that will inform policy and that will impact people's lives, then I believe you should make that scientific advice available to the public and other scientists for scrutiny.
Not to do so is generally bad science.
