E.g., from `git log`:

I have used "leaked" git commit email addresses many times to contact authors of GitHub projects, when there was no other publicly posted email for them. But if you DON'T want this exposure, you can run

git config --global user.email "GITHUB_USERNAME@users.noreply.github.com"

and it will mask it with a dead-end address.

China is facing a second wave, this time XBB* variants, following on the previous BA.5* wave. There will still be many (perhaps 10s or 100s of thousands) people with persistent BA.5* infections now getting infected with XBB*, with potential recombination resulting.
