Decalogo di fine anno

1. Non odiare nessuno. Combatti l'odio con la riflessione: dietro ogni azione tale da suscitare odio c'è ignoranza e inconsapevolezza.

2. Non coltivare la rabbia, il rancore, l'irritazione ed altri stati negativi. Considera te stesso e la tua mente come un giardino di cui prenderti cura. Quando uno stato negativo si presenta, prendine coscienza, identificalo, distanzialo da te ("provo rabbia"), analizzalo ("la mia rabbia viene da...") e quindi deponilo al di fuori del giardino ("non permetterò alla mia rabbia di rendermi peggiore").

3. Non alimentare il narcisismo. Considera che presto sarai morto e nessuno saprà nulla di te.

4. Se non puoi amare gli altri, almeno sii gentile con loro. Se non puoi amare te stesso, almeno sii gentile con te stesso.

5. Cura il corpo: non mangiare troppo, cammina più che puoi.

6. Evita la chiacchiera. Parla poco, dì l'essenziale. Coltiva il silenzio.

7. Siediti accanto alla tua morte. Smetti di fuggire ciò che ti costituisce.

8. Non guardare indietro né avanti. Stabilisciti qui ed ora.

9. Non guardare nessuno dall'alto in basso, non guardare nessuno dal basso in alto.

10. Coltiva l'ironia. E' libertà dal mondo.
