@worldsendless You have indeed hit the reply button now, I got a notification and a conversation thread has formed.

The quote-posting is with those quotation marks and doesn't form conversation threads and isn't really for a continued discussion. I suppose it's like a retweet of sorts.

@worldsendless Np. Also a note of warning, that kind of quote-posting isn't going to notify me that you've responded to me. It's basically an original post to the world at large with my toot as an attachment of sorts.

@Acer That thread is a bunch of opinions, and most opinions are unfounded gut feelings looks like.

@Acer You sure? Other programming languages can use Qt too. Python, for example, can have Qt. It's pretty common.

@fitheach
Knowing my clumsiness, i'd just accidentally pull the tick off as is, leaving its head behind. The tick hook also does the twisting, it's easier for me, but I think they serve the same goal with twisting out. :)

@Wizardofosmium

@fitheach
You mean a tick hook? I love those things, they make removing ticks fairly easy. I've got them in 2 sizes (big and small).

@Wizardofosmium

@fitheach Be careful. She might learn to get ticks on purpose for the sake of getting more treats. ;)

@sotolf@fosstodon.org So if we merged the Norwegian and Dutch languages together and go for Knullige Knul... we could say that the person is a dumb fuck? ;)

@cereal Seems like each box contains a tiny thing and the rest is filler.

@sotolf@fosstodon.org 'Knul' would mean 'young guy' here. 'Knullig' on the other hand means silly, dumb.

@Acer I don't like onion. I usually use leek instead, they're of the same family and taste way better imo!

@Acer It's called tangram in Dutch too. And I suspect also the case in many other languages.
