I've read that story before, so it's not new news to me. Still sickening, yes. I can seriously recommend reading the book I've mentioned earlier. Humanity, at its core, is good. But that isn't very newsworthy for some reason, so you only see the shit stories online or in the news.

@urusan Funny. Even though it's recently published, I've actually read this exact story before a year or so ago.

The rich are terribly out of touch. People project their mindset on what they think is going to happen. It never quite matches reality.

Humankind: A Hopeful History by Rutger Bregman is a pretty good read about how much the 'upper echelons' miscalculate human reactions.

I'm loving the Dataview plugin more and more in Obsidian, it's a whole own SQL-ish database but made up of markdown files.

This flexibility is insane.

And I've not even delved in DataviewJS yet.

@lydiaconwell Our energy prices are up crazy too. It impact for -me- is thankfully low because I have solar panels and only really have to pay for the gas prices which I try to minimize the use of as well. But we do have households getting in trouble.

Though I just read an article this morning that it's much worse in the UK. Worst of Europe. This first past the post system is doing the British people in I think.
