@sean There are a lot. ;) That's why I sub to isthereanydeal.com to track the damn sales!

@freemo How do you even interpret that site's data? It seems oddly incomplete to me in presentation.
For example the section 'Health Care Wait Times by Country 2021' seems to be missing a few crucial columns I have the idea. And I wonder why Singapore is left out in the middle section, and I also wonder if whoever made this page hated their readers so much that a lot of stuff is unformatted and hard to read.

@freemo I'm not really sure how to interpret that graph you've linked in your post and the claims you made. Germany 2x vs USA, but the graph doesn't seem to reflect that? Or am I misreading something here?

Also, are there any data about how many people in % go to a doc compared to other countries? If, for example, a country has 50% of its people going to specialists, that'd cause longer waiting times than if only 1% of the people go to a specialist?

The site you linked seems wonky to me, btw. Nothing happens when I hover over a tile in its map.

@fraggle Print out the source code in a magazine and let the suckers type it into their MSX knockoffs... and if they wanted to replay it anytime they better have a tape recorder ready!

@sean Absolutely magical when I played it in the '90s. Got completely sucked into that atmosphere. Not many games managed to give me that feeling.

Near the end of Primordia came close. Some bits of Syberia came close. Indiana Jones 4 definitely came close overall, I've replayed that one at least 5 times I think, because it's a really grand epic adventure.

@sean Beneath a Steel Sky, and Indiana Jones 4. I believe the former might be free on GOG?

@xcalibur You mean this video I presume? youtube.com/watch?v=2lR7s1Y6Zi

Nice one, subtitles are actually okay. I prefer to read calmly though but the animations are a nice little visualization. :)

@sean In the middle of the summer, when the sun goes down and the day cools down nicely as well... you'll find plenty of those blasted plant-eaters in my garden. :P

One day I'd had it with the gajillion snails in my garden and decided to take one long dark evening with a flashlight to catch all snails I can find.

Pleeeeenty of copulating snails too, and my gloves were terribly slippery at the end of the hunt!
Afterwards, the amount of plant damage was reduced drastically, though. :D

Yeah, I'm not really a romantic.. :P

@bonifartius Heh, I moved from TAN codes via SMS to a banking app too. I actually find this convenient, since it's all scanning the QR code now.

@freemo I hope 20 lightyears (the closest star from that constellation) is far enough to keep us safe. :P

Had a chat with a coworker yesterday about how in world maps the African continent doesn't seem that very huge, while we're both pretty aware that Africa is actually bigger than it seems.

I was vaguely aware that the curvature of the Earth isn't really helping matters much, but there seems to be a little bit more to it according to this site:
edition.cnn.com/2016/08/18/afr

Also, even though I was aware that some countries/continents were smaller/bigger than what they seem like on maps, I wasn't really prepared for that huge a difference! Greenland, for example, is actually just a very small part of Africa's size!

Some other sites with some nice visual info about this topic:

geospatialworld.net/blogs/maps

My country is even tinier than I thought! 😋
