I've resigned as moderator on Qoto.org since 29-aug-2023.
This one is now a backup account, my activities on Qoto will be low.

Used to be on another mastodon server regularly, but it's been inaccessible since November 2020. So I've decided to join Qoto instead! I like the features this server has to offer.

@sergeant@mstdn.social Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwww :P
@lydiaconwell I have absolutely not noticed this. I love the twitter refugees on our instance, they're almost all geeks and it's awesome!
@mathlover Story of my life! :D

On Thursdays I do the space/astronomy news -- this week featuring:
○ Hubble's 32nd anniversary!
○ JWST is allllmost entirely cooled (4 primary mirror segments to go!)
○ all DNA/RNA building blocks have now been found in meteorites
○ good-bye Axiom-1, hello Crew-4!
○ β Pic exocomets are similar to ours
○ Ingenuity investigates landing debris
@astromecanik Neat! I'm a fan of roguelikes as well. My oldest experience is with ADOM which was available on DOS. :D
@Sphinx Darn! Speedy recovery!
@wood I always disliked chess when I was young (my older sister would always win :P) but I absolutely liked checkers, that was fun and sorta chaotic!
@fi How do you mean?
@norasguidetothegalaxy Welcome to Qoto! :)
@norasguidetothegalaxy That's a pretty cool video! And you seem to speak clearly because the auto generated subtitles were pretty good. I hope you could add real subtitles in the future for us hard of hearing and deaf folks? It'd be so great! Thanks! :)
provocative comment on mass graves, war
@Pat I thought the modern human evolved about 300k years ago? Neanderthalers a bit earlier, a little over 400k years? We're definitely not millions of years old! And last I checked, dinosaurs didn't use fire!
@feditips Indeed! Qoto just upgraded servers to accomodate the growth!
@scalzi Huh, neat. And is that a balcony indoors? Fancy!
@lydiaconwell Whatever it is, I know it is NOT Dungeon Siege.. :P
@johnabs @barefootstache Heh, naw, doubt it. I'm sure this idea's universal for a 2-switch system.
@lucifargundam Whoo! Crossing fingers some more here!
@cweickhmann I think it's got an Angry Birds vibe.
@johnabs @barefootstache Apparently so. Never really thought about it. Since they're both upstairs and downstairs paired with other switches (normal switches). And to go upstairs or downstairs to check is annoying. :D
@jrh All this is definitely before my time. I think I joined the Fediverse in general around.. 2018? Something like that.
