@MattCrump Local-only posts? I think you'd have to modify Mastodon for that. It's not part of default I believe.

@rootfs Edge's alright. I prefer Vivaldi myself, but Edge's a good quick alternative. Especially as THAT is faster than Chrome...

@rudolf And for servers with a modified Mastodon, I can recommend just using the mobile web interface instead. It's very mobile friendly, I'm not really sure why people need an app at all. Just pin the page to your homescreen and you're golden.

@sil But if it's specifically for one person, I'd not even consider a Mastodon core at all as it's pretty beefy.

*Checks blog article briefly* Oh, it's not using a Mastodon core, just a way to send messages that a Mastodon server could accept. It's not a Mastodon server, just an ActivityPub one.

@hypolite It depends on the instance. There are instances with a modified codebase, some have a big character limit. The one I'm on has a 65k limit for example.
