@PapaBear Irish sign language? I'm actually surprised to see your fingerspelling having a fair overlap with the sign language family of LSF. I'd have expected you to use those crazy BSL fingerspellings considering they're close neighbours. 😃

(P.s. your alt text claims you're spelling A-M, which is obviously not the case here. 😅 )

@msquebanh Neat, there are a few communities like that throughout the world and history. Martha's Vineyard might be one of the most well known examples here. Glad to see there are still some communities like that.

@josemanuel Probably timing. I watched it like 15+ years ago and then it was 'woah.. that is.. uuuh.. intense!'. Nowadays we wouldn't really bat an eye on it anymore.

@BioFris@mastodon.nl
11 uur. 😋

@engelbart
Did you happen to hear a

> Hup two three four
> Keep it up, two three four

during that parade? 😋

@freemo I think it should be heavily encouraged in elementary schools, then they can pick it up in highschool if they want to continue. But at least they'd learn how to do basic signs and how to deal with deaf people besides the 'ick, eh, bye!' bullshit.

@hvangalen Je hebt waarschijnlijk een Magnum Mini genomen. 😋

Ik had er eentje enkele weken terug. Die lente laat nog wel aardig op zich wachten.

@hasmis
That is called 'wagging its tail'.

@2ck @freemo

@dgar This person doesn't really think like that, right? It's a joke article?

@2ck
Not really. Around here you're required to learn 2 foreign languages anyway. Plus learning a spatial language is pretty cool to enhance your way of communicating.

@freemo

@freemo It should be a required course in schools IMO. Just like a foreign language.

@Jabbaat@mastodon.nl Optische kunst. :D

You know, everybody needs to learn sign language. It'll be a lot harder to deepfake that. 😋

#SignLanguage

@Zjaan Dat is wel leuk gevonden. :)

There goes my quiet spring. The neighbours are going to extend their house in the coming months. 😫

@hasmis Even with Prime?
