@SebastienK
Ik zou niet zeggen dat ze voorbereid zijn. Ik zou eerder zeggen dat ze... menselijk zijn.

@hvangalen

Trying to figure out what we need to open up this Blue-Bot and probably need to replace the accu there. We have to buy a very specific screwdriver. Handyman just ordered it, so it's waiting for that now. I suspect we need to replace accus on all 6. Still cheaper than ordering brand new Blue-Bots. Educative hardware is always overpriced.

There are so many more things that need maintenance besides this, like our narrowcasting system. We gotta move on from DVI to HDMI already. Replacing TVs is at the moment iffy as I don't know of many modern TVs with DVI.

Our Tovertafel will soon (in a few weeks) have an internet connection as well, so that we can _finally_ use that stuff after all this time. The principal asked us if we could make a little party out of this when we finally have everything set up and running. Yay. 😋

Plenty of stuff to do, but everything takes a long time before it gets done. It's just very annoying.

@lucifargundam Well, so long they can't do a flawless automatic captioning on videos, I wouldn't be really worried about this anytime soon. :P

@AncientGood According to one of the comments, they're secured in place seperately. So it's not like pulling a pearl necklace there. :D

@skyblond Amazon has that ehh.. Rings of Power thing right? I've watched the first 5 minutes of the first episode but then felt like doing something else. I have a hard time getting into those things again.

Netflix had the Fantastic Beasts movie series going... the first one I've seen in the cinemas and it was fun in 3D, but the story was eh, alright. The next movie was ehhhhhh... meh. Nah. Lost interest.

@skyblond I don't remember very much from the movies themselves as I found them too fastpaced and confusing, even if I've read those books prior.

RimWorld is just as annoying as Skyrim in that you're going to spend hours figuring out which mods you do want to have installed. 😋

@skyblond I've read all the books before the movies were out, heh.

@Vivaldi I use Obsidian. I make notes of everything in there. And even set up a sort of database with help of the Dataview plugin.

@AncientGood Steam is pretty damn great. Buggy as holy fuck too, but still great. :D

@GoatsLive Alrighty. I gather that's probably a 2,5" versus an M.2 style? Yeah, I have to get used to that as well. ;)

@GoatsLive Why not reuse the SSD from the broken laptop in the new one?

And why not get an external DVD drive, they're cheap nowadays and the laptop can stay nice and slim? Less parts to break is longer longevity.

I'm having a little bit too much fun trying to see what games I can stream from Deck to laptop.

RimWorld works, with a lower resolution but still fullscreen. I'll have to connect the Deck to a cabled dock sometime then the slightly laggy feeling might even go away. Keyboard shortcuts are available, which is a huge plus with this game.

LEGO The Incredibles worked perfectly fine via streaming. I could even use my own game controller at the laptop. Played this game for a few hours, and the Deck got a bit warm. Not overheating or anything, just very warm.

Backgammon Blitz I had to resort to controller as the mouse clicks didn't get registered very well for some reason. And the controller directions to select the pieces made absolutely no sense, heh. I still won that session with a gammon though. :P
