Just watched an interesting and very informative video over at mashable.com/video/hollywood-r about color grading movies to let the audience think they're in some exotic place. This technique brings out the stereotypes and is lately more seen as racistic. This is apparently also a very American thing to do.

@Pat I had to think of you when watching this video. I think you might find it interesting.

Stepping a foot outside feels like opening an oven at full blast.. jeez.

I've noticed the only webgames I seem to still play every day are Waffle and Worldle (with an l there, yes, it's not Wordle). The rest is just very sometimes and not altogether that interesting.

Whew, finished it! The sandbox world was the most annoying one until I found a guide that explained you needed to buy the quest items from the other worlds. That wasn't clear at all. It's just an annoying game overall, and thankfully finished fairly fast. I hope the other new LEGO games won't be this lame.

All the main story areas in LEGO Movie 2 Videogame have been 100%ed now. What's left are the non-main story areas, gotta complete their storylines plus get all of those Master Bricks. Then I'm done. Fairly easy, it's actually feeling a bit like a grind in this game. And to think the first game was so cool to play... Wtf did they do, man.

What the fuck did I just watch... the ending of LEGO Movie 2 Videogame is one of the stupidest endings ever. Moronic. Rubbish. Ridiculous. Making-absolutely-no-sense. Lazy writers.

Very unsatisfying. :P

Well, all that's left is mopping up the gajillion side quests, getting all the master bricks, completing every area 100%...

But the ending seriously sucks. This isn't really a good LEGO game overall.

We packed everything in our office. All of that stuff is ready to be carted out of the room so that it can get renovated during the summer holidays. Plastered papers with 'IT ROOM' on every box, cabinet, table, and even every chair in this room. Not much more we can do. Considering it's awfully humid hot today, not much more we want to do either.

Friday'll be the last work day. 'Work'.. it'll be a 'bye bye, and see you after the holidays' day.

Feeling exhausted. Going to cancel all my appointments today. 😩

Itch.io got another mega bundle (and that's when you know the world done fucked up again):
**Worthy of Better, Stronger Together for Reproductive Rights**

169 items (mostly gaming-related, that does include tabletops) for $10.

Decided to get MATH EXPRESSions anyway. It's like Nerdle, but on Steam, and with achievements. Unlocking was also cheap enough that I decided to give the devs some monies for a coffee, heh. Although I'm not sure where one'd buy a cup of coffee for 59 cent nowadays. :P

Oooh, that tickles! I'm resting my legs on a footstool, next to my cat. He's giving himself a thorough wash.... and then he decided to lick my legs too.

So, I have gardened something fierce for over an hour, removing lots and lots of weeds in my front garden. There were a couple which were starting to grow taller than I am... so yeah, it was pretty much time for me to remove them. ;)

It's good enough for today, getting a bit too hot now and I don't fancy getting sick again. It's also almost time to close all doors and windows to keep the heat out.

Went for a brisk walk for about one hour. I'm tired and a bit sweaty, naturally (and it was also a bit warm). But hey, otherwise I'm pretty fine except for an annoying throat! Eventually that'll be less annoying too and be back to its chronic annoying self. :P

So far I've bought 3 games at the Steam sale:

- *Lost Flame*, a unique roguelike I've played during a free weekend and kept thinking back to it ever since, and development has picked up again recently so it is a good time to get it!
- *Grindstone*, I played the demo during the recent Next Fest, the game released right after. I liked this funky color-matching game so much that I simply got it.
- *Mars Power Industries Deluxe*, dirt cheap puzzle game. It's a pretty good thinking game that's busting my poor brain.

They are very replayable, so I'm pretty happy with my purchases. :blobderpyhappy:

What drives me mad while I'm sick? That I can't grocery shop.

So I sent my parents to do the job. I thought my list was very clear, and yet they make a lot of mistakes still...

Next time if I ever need to send them out again, I probably should create a grocery list in the form of a fucking picture book.

I swear this might be my number one reason to hate being sick.

I've finally read through **Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead** by *Olga Tokarczuk*, a Polish writer. I remember what my mother told me before about Polish writers, that they're kind of insane with their storytelling. And after having finished this book I think she's right. It's the second book of a Polish writer I've read, and this one's only a slight bit less insane. Just a tad.

So I'm still reading with the theme of old ladies with murder cases here, except this lady isn't quite investigating the murder cases per se. More like, she's actually convinced that it should have been like this, because the stars told her so. She's a complete astrology nut and tries to make horoscopes to explain everything in life. She's also Vegan, and anything harming animals is outright murder. All those people who got killed were hunters, so it served them right too. The Animals (yes with a capital A there) probably took revenge on them. Of course nobody believes her, and many think of her as a madwoman.

When reading, I simply went with the flow of the story because it was all quite surreal. It was like watching a movie where you don't know wtf everybody was smoking, but you just can't stop watching. She doesn't name people by their real names but has given all of them nicknames that suits them (according to her logic). Big Foot, Oddball, Dizzy, Good News, etc. I'm also thinking the people in her area are somewhat strange, which is probably an understatement. The difficulty is that I can't get into too much detail here lest I might spoil the story. This whole book has been quite a weird trip.

Was it a fun read? Well, it's kept me occupied. Was it interesting? Well, yes, but it was also weird. Do I understand this person? Not really, no. Except a bit near the end, some stuff kind of got explained to attribute to this turn of events. At least she's got friends who cares about her, which is quite a redeeming factor in this story.
@faticake

Every time I am again amazed at how much snot a human body can contain.

I so totally don't like having a cold and feeling all congested in my head. -.-
