@zleap this is amazing! If I forgot my own links, I could look at your website, Paul. Thanks a ton.

Right now, we have following activities planned:
- "Introduction to Debian bullseye" by AR
- SuperTuxKart gaming session, details to follow.

If you would like to present an event/talk, please get in touch with @avronr , @anupaaj or @sahilister latest by Friday, so that we can plan accordingly.

Satellite and aerial surveillance tech is increasingly being used to control migration. Read our explainer to understand how this all works and how it affects people

@libreoffice I am making a list of upcoming events,

personaljournal.ca/paulsutton/

However I am also making or scheduling individual posts for each event on their first day (to avoid me getting confused) with dates.

So a day or two before LibreOffice Conference I can edit and post and it will publish a few days beforehand.

I will make a post when LO7.2 is out too. As it helps spread the word more.

LibreOffice doesn't happen by magic – it only keeps improving thanks to communities and certified developers around the world 🌍 Check out the Spanish-speaking community's last meetup: blog.documentfoundation.org/bl

Coming up in August: LibreOffice 7.2! The first Release Candidate is now available – help us to test it, to make the final version super solid: qa.blog.documentfoundation.org

Help to spread the word about LibreOffice in schools and universities! And also encourage younger people to join our community and projects. We have flyers and other resources: blog.documentfoundation.org/bl

But that's a terrible vision for our online future. We don't want wise emperors running our digital world - we want to *abolish* emperors and give people the right to technological self-determination.

@ShowerThoughts

Surely that would defeat the point of the sound system., Surely the better option would be to have the old fashioned ushers around to ask people to keep quiet and respect others, or get out of the cinema

Why do the rest of us, have to change what we do to account for the actions of the few.

I do take my own food (sweets etc) in but i a plastic container (as not to rattle wrapping) and try and do things quietly and considerately.

I also like going at quieter times,. much more pleasant experience then too.

Cinemas should have audio jacks on chairs so you can drown out annoying people
with your own headphones.

Giving booster jabs when a large portion of the world population remains unvaccinated may not be a popular move and make people fee the west is once again ignoring other countries.

I agree with the scientists who argue we should get everyone in the world vaccinated first.

@ademalsasa Something to consider: It has been suggested to me elsewhere to use the word Replacement rather than Alternative.

So in this case this could be :-

Replacement Software Resources

@ademalsasa

Cool thanks for this.

Rather than making a new blog post., I have added the new links to the okld post and reposted it.
