Welcome to the Fediverse and mastodon.
@yogthos@mastodon.social If that money could be directed towards a really good cybersecurity policy it would really help moving forward.

Btw is anyone interested in reimplementing the Pango component in Haskell? I highly recommend not reimplementing Harfbuzz or FontConfig

Bah, fuck the cloud.
I miss how it was in the 90s. If you wanted hosting you called your friend who rented an office downtown, and physically hauled a minitower PC there and put it on a shelf.
It crashes? Call your friend have them mash the reset button.

If you're planning to host your own mastodon, I'll suggest you go for it. It's relatively easier than you think.

This is the better option, I do understand the concerns of Russia, If Ukraine joins \NATO they will be on the Russian border, increase the risk of accidental incident that escalates.

Voloscreen is a good tool for screen recording too
It can be installed on debian and debian related distros if that helps.
Maybe @CKsTechnologyNews can suggest something here.
@CKsTechnologyNews Cool thanks, lots of options there :)
@CKsTechnologyNews What should we be using then?
We are not all technicians who can set up our own instances, servers search x instances etc and don't appreciate people assuming we are. We have expertise in other areas.
