Project Diana pointed an SCR-271 bed-spring radar antenna at the rising moon #OTD in 1946 and broadcast a series of short signals.
Each signal echoed off the moon and returned about 2.5s later, proving that radio could penetrate the ionosphere.
This was an important result for the nascent field of satellite communications, but reports of the project ignored the contributions of a Black physicist.

There is no “justice” system.
Today, Trump Org CFO Weisselberg is being sentenced to five months jail.
On a five month sentence, he'll serve approximately 100 days.
As a public defender in Manhattan, I represented a man who was sentenced to 3-6 years (and will serve 1500+ days) for stealing a jacket.

I've previously said that the natural conclusion of Big Social is Fascism.

I think people are fighting back in the courts now and starting to sue big tech for what happens on their platform or as a result of it.
What needs to happen is for people who are victims of this attempted coup to sue facebook, backed by the government and hold facebook to account.
We saw the sandy hook conspiracy idiot sued by the families of the victims. Just because Meta is huge doesn't mean it can't be sued successfully.
I just scrolled to this for the 2nd time, earlier I boosted it etc, a second view somehow brought the frog in to shape and I can see it properly shows how well it is camoflaged to just look like a pile of moss.
But yeah it's gorgeous :)
Thing is do we do this on here where rational discussion, statements backed by actual evidence is welcome. If you post ideas to mainstream social media you end up being trolled by those who just want to spread their hate.
If you want to educate the majority how do we do this?, as it needs a change of mindset where you watch news from different sources, read different websites / newspapers, magazines, journals and understand how clickbait, algorithms are used to manipulate people.
It seems in recent cases of shootings mental healh issues seems to have played a part. While that can't exactly be used as an excuse, we need address what leads ot Mental Health issues, other than pressures on people to perform at school, look, dress, act in a certain way or a miriad of other things.
Rather than simply accpeting people for who they are and including them, we are really good at excluding different groups.
I am doing a courses with the ANti Bullying Alliance and it looks at how people can be victims of bullying if they are part of marginal groups, have disabilities and schools can take steps to ensure everyone is involved in including all members of their community, so knowing how to communicate with a deaf pupil, can make a big difference and make them feel they are part of that community.
