1/ We get told we give up or quit because of imposter syndrome. If only we have enough confidence & self belief. We get told it’s our fault. An internal malfunction. Too much sensitivity & self doubt. The longer I experience & see the more I realise how nonsense such narratives are. If the outside world keeps chipping away at your confidence & self belief all your life of course they’ll get hit. Of course you’ll run out of energy to constantly build them up.
Firstly RIP Brianna Ghey and condolency to the family & friends
I wonder if he parents /families of the two killers are proud of the offspring they produced, so far there has,or does not appear to have been an explanation from these killers as to WHY they did this, Other than they are just evil transphobic killers and they will hopefully think about that while they linger in prison.

Been to the vigil for Brianna Ghey in Leeds. It was important to stay all the way to the end (regardless of the freezing cold and rain) to hear all the testimonies, particularly from the trans and non-binary young people. Many had never talked in public before.

One galaxy, two views
@NASAHubble and @NASAWebb have now both observed spiral galaxy NGC 7496, providing data across multiple wavelengths of light. Webb's infrared ranges help us see how stars and galaxies form. https://go.nasa.gov/3Z3u6ol

Anyway, let's never get rid of radio as a thing.
It was literally the only way we had to know what was going on for days.
Well from a science view point the statement "Before saturn had rings" assumes we know there was a time that Saturn didn't have rings, the rings may have formed at the same time, no evidence to say either way. The closest we are getting is to observe planetary systems out side of our solar system, which we are 'just' starting to do.
In addition if I understand things correctly the planets were formed way way before humans or any life existed on earth, so again it is a nonsense statement by the poster.
So I agree with what you are saying here, I would take one look at those 4 statements and probably stop after the first on the sole basis it is to me Nonsense.
The latter 3 statements may be true, but the first statement would convince me the poster lacks credibility.

#HarvardBookStore in #CambridgeMA is my favourite bookstore, and their events are part of why.
I had a great time yesterday evening at the reading+discussion of *The Terraformers* with @annaleen! For example, I learned that a planet can have a molten core and volcanoes, but no plate tectonics, leading to the volcanoes making persistent lava tubes and staying in the same place over long timescales. I love #scifi with real #science

This @TheEconomist on decline of #Cars + #driving in younger age groups (ht @gwagner ) is interesting.
I'm 40+ & owning a car in #Copenhagen would significantly *reduce* my #QualityOfLife - though thanks to #LetsGoDK #CarShare I can access one when I need.
But it's clear young relatives in rural #England are utterly #Car dependent. Without safe #CycleInfra even #Ebikes are far too dangerous.
The #Future is here, but it's not evenly distributed.
Australia seems to be resurecting their 10 pound poms scheme which they had post WWWII, this allowed us brits to emigrate to Oz for £10, they should extend this to the US, as it seems there could be a lot of teachers alone who would take advantage and beable to carry on doing the job they love.;
This article is more tha 9 months old, but given what is going on in the US with doctors, nurses and lots of other professions, it would be a way out.
Return of the ten pound Pom as South Australia moves to fill post-pandemic job vacancies
What would the DeSantos do with no teachers left or willing to fill posts.

An old basement is the absolute worst place to have a darkroom. But I’m so grateful I have one.
What is "voluntold"?
Relationships with AI never seem to pan out well for those on Star Trek, Captain janeway tried to make Micheal sullivan character fit her needs more, it worked. then she realised having a relationship with a hologram is not really a good idea.
