If you feel your Mastodon feed is a tad quiet, here is a tip: For a month I have been following every account which has retooted one of my toots — and it works amazingly well.
Here is a screen shot from when I got up in the morning. Of course, I do not start my day by reading 3,000 toots, but the point is, I have brought my feed up to multiple toots per minute, so whenever I do have the time to check in on Mastodon, the feed is constantly buzzing with interesting, new content.

JUST IN: Governor Jay Inslee of Washington state has just announced that he will not be seeking reelection a fourth term.
The Governor, who has been a strong proponent of climate change initiatives, said he's "ready to pass the torch" onto a new generation of leaders in the Democratic party.
Inslee just signed a bill banning the sale of assault weapons sales in the state. The bill passed the House 56-42, and it also prohibits the distribution and manufacturing of them.
Drop a 💙 if you agree that other Governors need to follow Governor Inslee's example on assault weapons.

What does Defaulting on Debt, mean?, I am from the UK, it seems the US does this, stops paying people for about a week, and shuts down services, then er carries on as before.

We need to follow what happened in Iceland (is that correct), let the banks fail, then prosecute the bank bosses.
So the official App, has the optipn as default to join the main Mastodon instance, how easy would it be to make a patch so that each instance hosting the app, can patch, so that the app they offer defaults to that instance.
For example if I download the app from qoto, or follow a link from qoto, then it would download the patched version for that instance.
