So that I make more mention of the fediverse rather then simply just mastodon. Hopefully it will help promote fedi moire.

I agree fully, with all this action, and pre-emptive action, we are learning and developing our knowledge and understanding, so we can work really well together to develop solutions, one size won't fit all so we can develop a range of solutions that will work in different situations.

Indeed, the alternatives to Biden are awful, what I also like about biden is that he seems to speak quietly , sure he makes mistakes or needs a crib sheet but we are all human, so can connect with that.

Trump sees the Tory Party as an ally too, so when they get wiped out at the GE 2024, if trump or the GOP win they may not have many friends in the Labour party.

Same here, but I think my point is that whoever gets voted in to power in the USA. it does impact the UK.

As a community we have spent years building what we want from social media, I have little idea what bluesky is, I don't care as I am sticking with Fedi, esp as my blog, peertube account and mastodon account are part of something much bigger.

Well I just hope by 2024 people wake up to what is going on and get out of their bubble and do the right thing. I think the local elections in the UK have shown that is happening here, come 2024 the tories should hopefully lose, and lose badly. Hopefully then the next party to rule this place may actaully do a better job.

I agree, the admins and work tirelessly to do this are doing a fantastic job, so they deserve a big Thank you, for keeping the network free of spam and helping users protect themselves from unwanted content / contact.

Indeed, well this is your country, the rest of the world just has to put up with what you do in terms of voting for people, and usually ends up suffering the consequences.

This is the issue with mainstream social media too, lots of arm chair 'experts' shouting their opinion as to what happened, followed by an equally useful army of people boosting those posts.

This ends up with a narrative with little merit, somehow becoming the main truth narrative.

But yeah, we should not be speculating until there is some substance behind why something happened.
