I agree there, but to argue against something you need the base critical thinking skills to question and present an alternative narrative.

The same seems to have happened with the Oil companies, they just carry on as no one wants to say NO, The same could no happen with AI, people won't act till it is too late, with the climate the same thing, we are getting to the point where it is going to be too late to ask (or we may have passed that).

Apathy resisting the changes that need to happen too.

I am not sure how schools make kids hate their parents, maybe this is an American school thing or the intentions of the DeSantis school reforms.

Working in a factory or similar (which is what I get the impression the republicans want), you learn to do the job, and do it well, conformity to social norms I guess. School study is still work, only you should be learning to question everything from a critical thinking and not alaways a rebellious viewpoint.

There is always more to EVERY story,I think this proves it. What happened to the days when people were told to "put up and shut up" in these cases. I am sure we didn't ban books decades ago due to one person objecting, sure people can object but there is usually some sort of complaints / concerns system so if enough people expressed concern about something it would be looked in to. If you object you provide EVIDENCE to back your objection up.

Kinda like lets have high fat food on the school menu, you could object on the fact it is not healty and provide actual report links to back up your argument.
