They need to hurry up but not to the point where it can impact the case, lets not give the defence holes to exploit.

HUGE: Trump's own White House lawyer is now warning that the former President is in serious legal jeopardy in the classified documents case, and that his other former attorneys' testimony will be used against him.

Ty Cobb, who served as Trump's White House lawyer, now claims that the evidence that the former President committed a crime is "increasingly solid every day."

He added: "I think we had an exchange where I was commenting on it sounded like there was a lot of i-dotting and t-crossing, which suggests they're near the end...I do believe that is the case. They have some compelling evidence. I think the evidence with regard to the moving of the boxes, the evidence that they're relying on primarily with regard to the movement of the boxes they received the day after those boxes were moved. There were tapes of this, you know, the access and to the storage room."

He went on to say that Trump's other former lawyers Evan Corcoran and Tim Parlatore could present more legal challenges for him:

"Keep in mind that, you know, Corcoran testified that he warned Trump that he could not retain any classified documents beyond the subpoena..."And Parlatore, you know, he subsequently resigned, you know, expressed great concerns about directions that were given by [Trump adviser] Boris Epshteyn, and the extent that Epshteyn was translating their advice faithfully."

Who else thinks Jack Smith and the prosecutors building their case against Trump need to hurry up? ✋

Happy Birthday, #Fediverse15 !

And congrats to @titi on publishing their book about Fedi barcelona.social/objects/6cac6

Is it the second, or third book dedicated to this unique online space?
Here's to many more books and years! 🍾

@GottaLaff I’m a veteran. The GOP has only ever used veterans as a prop.

@EUClimateAction

Sometimes wearing a mask near to trees / pollen works wonders.

Sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes🤧

Yes, allergy season is back as plants release pollen🌳🌾

But #DYK climate change is driving longer pollen seasons and higher concentrations of allergens in the air?

Climate action is #ForOurPlanet and our health💝

But who is the fool, he is doing this because he can, no one dares question him,,

Unless victims and society stands up and says 'enough is enough, this stops NOW' and takes collective action nothing will change.

For some reason we are scared of the rich or by the nonsense they are above the law.

So not in a literal sense, perhaps we could see it this way

Take a person who is on the poverty line, and needs to use a food bank, can't afford bills etc and also take someone who is super rich (musk, zukerberg , oil bosses or other person on grotesque wages, both dressed accordingly

NOW make both strip naked, what do you have,? Simple 2 naked humans, physically the same. They are equal

Both are also accountable under the law, both can be put in prison, both can be punished or equally set free of not guilty.

just needs a change in mindset before it is too late.

If women in short skirts are "just asking for it" then how about proud boys in confederate flags and swastikas???

GDPR replies on people reporting then the various information offices actually enforcing, if they get enough complaints they can act

The problem seems to be the fines issued are small compared to the income of the company esp facebook.

What is needed is a scale so first offence, the fine is 4% of global turnover, perhaps it should be more like 40%

The percentage could be proportionate to the size of the company.

@admin
Meta colluded w/Peter Thiel & Cambridge Analytica to misinform voters & tamper w/US elections to get #Trump into power. Blocking that harmful force *is* a protection, not a punishment.

Note as well that the #GDPR is not well enforced. We cannot rely on the GDPR for data protection. Preventing data abusers from getting more data to use for harm is a necessary protection.

@GreenFire

To reply as if one was to reply to that tweet

Maybe you should think about the people you follow then.
Common sense costs nothing

@randulo @ct_bergstrom @emilymbender

I have been watching salvage hunters, classic cars. Some of the people they go to, for help can make anything, they have years of exeprience, in somecases they have worked for the very car company, who they make stuff for that car, cover seating for example.

A good engineer can use their decades of experience to achieve a task, but that experience also includes knowing others that can help, So improving a wheel performance, they can do that, making a component to help restore a vehicle they can do that too. could be a door handle or a small plug thing to hold something together, the other day they scanned one in, and 3d printed a replica.

I think AI has some way to go, it is not about going and find know how it is about experience.

I had a conversation on IRC last year, where a question was asked, and I remembered reading about the 'expect' script 20 years ago, went to look at up, it was a good solution to what this person was looking for.

@tomcrinstam

While boosts are good, a reply and tagging someone in, is also good in some circumstances. I did this earlier, replied and tagged in my instance in.

@tomcrinstam

I am sure it becomes apparent, very quickly to people who are looking for a reaction, they are not going to get that here or at least not the sort of reaction they are looking for.

If I find an interesting science story on here, I may repost on my blog, BUT I credit the fediverse as the source of the story post, and then also link to scienceforums for discussion, that is what a forum is for.

So hopefully best of both worlds, somewhere to discuss the topic at hand, while acknowledging I found the story on the fediverse.

However if one wants a reaction, you generally need to ask a specific question about the subject matter.

Good to see @TidBITS now on Mastodon. A boon for the Apple community.

Welcome to the land where Mastodons roam!

@tomcrinstam

Agreed, I generally post or reply to something in order to try and add to the conversation. I think those of us here are here to get away from what you describe.

On mainstream social media everyone seems to have something to say on mainstream social media or they want to be 'the person' who posts 'THAT video' of an event as if they feel it is their duty.

Look at what happened yesterday someone crashed in to the dowining street barrier and according to the BBC News, they had people with their mobile phones out to take pictures / video for their social feeds. We don't know the facts yet that person could easily have had a heart attack, or other medical condition that caused them to crash. The last thing they want is to be all over social media.

@liaizon @wikipedia

I would like to see a list like this too, it would really help explain the terminilogy being used.
