Those who enforce anti monopoly laws are going to have something to say about this.

Indeed, however if it entered Russian air space without permission, then the Russians may have a legal basis to shoot it down or at least challenge it. .
Interesting development,
"Footage posted by onlookers in the Tver region showed what seemed like the trail of an antiaircraft missile and then the jet, an Embraer Legacy 600, falling out of the sky with one wing missing."

I am waiting for the lawsuits to start where students use AI to write an assignment, if they then fail, they try and sue, on a similar note students who do the work, but end up with lower marks also sue for unfair marking as they have actually done the work etc.
Seems the whole area is also a legal minefield.
So, a little bit of warning for folks following me: I have no patience for any talk about "AI" being close to, on the verge of, or displaying sparks of Artificial General Intelligence.
The AI researchers making these claims are *severely* underestimating what even animal-level reasoning and problem-solving involves, and seem to be utterly clueless about what human level capabilities involve
It's bullshit sci-fi that's designed to sell you stuff.
Well the law may protect people from malicious communication, for example. Plus there is actual hard evidence in the case of what is posted.
From a recent report in the UK children as young as 9 are being targeted for abuse on line oddly on platforms such as tik-tok and snap which they are meant to be 13 + to sign up to.
Phones to some people / parents are babysitting devices to keep the kids quiet,
I am not advocating caning here , what I am saying is people are led to think they can get away with things, that as adults they clearly won't get away with, so don't feel there are actual consequences.
Fmr President Donald Trump seems an excellent example of someone who thinks they do no wrong.
Which is why I said LIES, oddly if they had any IQ they would realise that if they say hands are tied, you threaten action and hands are suddenly untied, you report the headteacher for LYING and get them struck off
When we had caning in schools, lying would have got you a caning, so why cant it get lying teachers the sack.
Some heads are so obsessed with rights of the child, the child becomes untouchable, the problem there is when the child hits 18 and is an adult they are no longer untouchable and could face prosecution for actions they had got away with at school
I agree,
@zleap
In a venn diagram, freaky religious people, whacky conspiracy theorists & abusive nutcases, all reside in the circle of home schoolers
I have worked in schools, one school the regular abuse from a few students resulted in me giving the school an ultimatum, basically said this abuse stops or I will take legal action against the school.
Oddly the LIES about hands being tied, stopped too.
@TruthSandwich @asbestos
Which is why I said that what has happened will probably lead to more regulation of home schooling, in many cases we need to look at why a child is home schooled, sometimes it is lack of support from the school as budgets are tight and that extra Teaching Assistant can't be afforded in the school finance budget.
Sometimes it is bullying at school or similar issues, that mean parents just feel they are not getting anywhere, and a host of other reasons.
Well if managers don't back the staff doing the job, perhaps reduce management and give the resources to the people that need it.
@TruthSandwich
I don't know all the details of this incident. But I do know people in the field and on social worker with 20 years working for DSHS. It's a awful job. High stress & you deal with hideous stuff, lawmakers dump rules on you and don't offer the resources to make them work. They are understaffed. You have a huge caseload. Let's look at giving these people the resources they actually need to do their job
Agreed, hence lessons need to be learned. But practices need to change too.
