We need to get Fuel in to Gaza NOW, anyone who argues against that is clearly fine with over 100 premature babies and young children dying as their ICU, incubator equipment fails.

And yes, if Hamas get hold of some of this, perhaps they will actually help deliver to hospitals and use some to help those they are holding captive.

Anger here has given way to full blown hatred which is being taken out on those in Gaza AND the west bank

Over 100 premature babies are going to DIE unless power alone is restored to hospitals.

And the world brands Hamas "Baby Killers. "

I am not on mainstream social media, so can't comment too much as to what happens there, but I do feel here on the fediverse there are more people like us, who are willing to not only have open discussionas to what is happening, but also discuss what we are here, in a open, rational and civilised manner.

We are also pro science, pro evidence and understand critical thinking, we can also challenge posts or have our ideas challenged without getting in a tantrum about it.

What we have here are a lot of marginalised people who are or know victims and who feel safe to speak out.

Even sharing own stories on here has an impact. If the racists, homophobes,l transphobes et al don't like it, we just post more stories and drown them out.

We are much stronger than we think on here.

I though that too, but to invest in self production means spending money, the tories like to make cuts. Ratber than investing.

Maintaining high standards also means we need to invest in people to enforce those rules, have courts in place to help back that up, all that has been cut.

Easier to allow cheap imports.

Yes and to that matter, how about a daily post also illustrating every black and coloured person killed, injured or suffered injustice due to racism in the US, could have a few positives in there too, as Rosa Parks did stand up to being asked to move ( and the racists want to rewrite that).

My vocabulary there may be wrong, but I think I get the point across

So more than one reason for the US to have its military hardware in the mediteranian.l It seems that the current crisis in Gaza / Israel could be an ideal distraction that other countries could take advantage of.

A very dangerous situation and a good reason to ensure we have dialogue will ALL countries in the region (including Iran) so we can avoid more human misery.
