We have a working rocket that is going to the moon, it is called Artemis, why do we need space X other than to further increase the ego of Elon Musk. ?

I'm a space exploration enthusiast and I can't get my head around people giving SpaceX a pass and calling Starship a "successful failure".

The Saturn V was designed with slide rules, took humans to the moon and exploded in flight zero times.

Elon is blowing up rockets for fun in the upper atmosphere while the planet just hit 2°C of warming for the first time since the industrial revolution. What the fuck are we doing?

External cd / dvd devices are useful generally can also be plugged in to laptops (which also no longer come with similar devices)

If you're not worried about the accelerating trend in extreme climate events, it's because the media aren't reporting them.
October temperatures were off the charts bad.

Forced justice.

"the only principle which has to be kept is that of non-violence"

If only the majority were willing and able to follow that principle. Or 🤔 perhaps the majority are, BUT, a minority make it very difficult to uphold our non-violent standards.

That 'minority' takes many forms. For example, some governments try to persuade the public that, generally, non-violent environmental activists are terrorists (a form of trying to gaslighting the public)

@zleap They're mostly old teaching videos - me talking over a slide and annotating on the screen. Nothing super exciting.

They evolved into summary videos with me talking over top of a graphic organizer, which work well, but are harder for people to follow with their own paper unless they have the same thing in front of them. Worked well for school, not so much for a general audience.

2K kids have been killed in Gaza, where the civilian population is on the brink of starvation, and I'm hard-pressed to think of propaganda more insidious than claiming that calls for a ceasefire equate to support for Hamas. But it's widespread and I've encountered a number of people who actually believe that nonsense. #israel #gaza

@JoshuaHolland

There seems to be some misguided idea that the people of Palestine and Hamas are one of the same thing, and they support HAMAS

Which is also illogical given the age of the population is such that most of them were not even born when Hamas were voted in.

@Flash

back in the days when kids were allowed to go out and play, rather than sit in on their phones which many do in 2023.

Last time there was an eruption is caused huge problems for air traffic, so far I am hearing nothing at all about this possibility and what plans are in place to mitigate any effects from an eruption.

Is this eruption different to the one one a few years ago, is this something the air travel industry needs to have a plan for ?

@LALegault

The images of those tiny babies in that huge cot (crib) is really heartbreaking.

If it is actually found there was no Hamas HQ under that hospital then someone has a lot of questions to answer.

What are the videos about? maybe share on here too so you can maybe attract more students
