And the so called 'experts' who advise them,

Well some of the abuse I endured as a staff member was from girls, so i fully understand most of this is from girls, but if they are brought up to think they can do what they want without consequences this is the problem
I don't think children are born like that, they are raised like that, time to really think when things went wrong and take a harder no nonsense approach. I am sick of excuses.
@kino yeah that is just annoying but they have their own procedures, unles you have lots of people on your side, nothing is going to change.
One of the adult ed courses I did in 2020 is like that, basic IT Skills ( just did that as it was lock down)here in the UK, I had to type answers in to a box, which is fine but for me, it is really hard, partly as I am used to writing longer answers, including citations, references, which LaTeX allows me to do easily so having to type in to a box, and what is worse having to try and type long urls in to a box is just a pain,.
This method is designed to deter or detect plagiarism, which is easy with proper referencing. Probably fine for most people but I am used to writing more detailed responses.

While working at a school i had it the other way, kids shouting things like "fu**ing gayboy (multiple times, ) I was fobbed off 2with kids will be kids" and on another occasiion "Caretakers are fu**ing wan**ers" at me (or the caretaker I was with at the time), the latter resulted in said child being given suspension for a week, aka a week off school when told I said that is what he wants, so he won in some sense.
The problem is huge and has been getting worse
It is no wonder that people don't bother reporting stuff,
@zleap
Well yes, it's been serious for a long time. Not just teachers, but pupils assaulting other pupils. In front of other pupils, it's an expression of power over someone else.
But the culture just handwaves the behaviour as boys will be boys. Just think about the type of person who does that and realise that some are adults now and have been for several decades.

I started at secondary school in 1986, at that time we were getting rid of corporal punishment and telling kids they had rights, the latter meant that the kids could rule the classroom, fearless of anything, assault teachers and threaten them if they tried to control the class.
Thing is rights come with responsibility, NO should mean just that, some how we have lost our way and some children, backed by parents seem to think they can't be touched.

It seems as if, sexual assault, harassment etc is a very serious issue, in the UK
If you want full freedom of speech your only real hope is going decentralised federation or peer-to-peer networks
Seriously any centralised social network hosted in the USA, Russia, China, Australia (to name but a few) is fully traceable, can easily be censored, and can be held legally accountable.
No so easy with peer-to-peer networks or decentralised networks hosted across numerous countries. It's not impossible, but seriously centralised network = no privacy.
