@piggo Last time i used previews was a long time a go, i t was possible to set the size of the file that gets previewed so say if under 5mb it would preview otherwise it would not. l

Was helpful with a folder of videos of different sizes same worked for pictures too

@piggo What happens if you reduce the max size of a preview?

@aral
Shame we can't convince the masses of that but in the meantime pinephone et al could be the way to go with pones

@valleyforge I will try and share that screenshot further too the ore we share the better .

@waltercool

I will have a look, i know before i was blocking facebook completely (as in it failed to even load / connect) which is what I want, more interested in stopping either facebook or google tracking me as much as that is possible.

@waltercool so i need to use [*].google.com is that in my hosts file

before i had something like

www.facebook.com 0.0.0.0

I need to double check so I can put the settings back

@zleap That's not blocking them, is just avoiding them to install cookies or storage at your computer.

Doing that, you are kinda a new user to them each time.

@waltercool I need to add some of the subdoains to my /etc/hosts file

Just reinstalled my system so slowly getting backup.

But yes just block them

@libreoffice

Hi Thanks for this, I will ask the library for a screenshot then I can submit a report.

Paul

@newsbot We need to try and reach out to those users and see if we can help them run something else, or this will just be adding more to the electrical waste mountain.

I would hope that devices get recycled properly either way, this is 2021 after all.

@piggo @libreoffice @paulsutton

I am assuming it looks fine in MS office as I think they use MS office for the flyers.

I will send them the link tomorrow, as the screenshots really illustrate the issue here.

Same happened in Libreoffice 6.x under Debian 10 and LibreOffice 7 (snap package) under Debian 10.
